Clarise De'Angellica Spurgeon
Hello, Clarise! Lovely to meet you!
Hello.
Lovely day, isn't it?
Erm, yes.
Right, so hi and welcome to BT blah blah blah. Do you have any cute nicknames?
No - everyone refers to me as Clarise.
Fine whatever. How old are you, Clarise?
I'm three and a half years old.
Cool cool. And your prefered rank? For once you join the pack, I mean.
... I was told this pack didn't have ranks.
Omg you're right. Sorry. Tell us a little bit about what you look like.
Well, I'm of average height and weight. I have rather thick legs and ears that are just a little too big, but those are my only flaws. My fur is a deep orange color which darkens into brown along my back and face. It's very soft and shiny, if I do say so myself. My eyes are amber (faintly green in some lighting), and I'm told that I have a patient appearance about me.
Wow you think you're hot stuff. Here's a picture!
... and another oneee
Haha, yes, that's me...
this one's my favorite.
WHERE DID YOU FIND THAT?????? *blushes*
Oboma showed it to me. You're a very pretty wolf.
*still looking mortified* thank you.
Faceclaim timmmmee! I think you're Lauren Conrad.
What? Our eyes aren't even the same color.
Well humans don't have yellowy eyes. So shut up.
....
Pretty.
What is it with you and pictures?
Sorry. Moving on. Who are you personality wise?
I'm very calm. I almost never get startled or stressed. I prefer to have some knowledge and control over my circumstances, though - if I have no idea, what's going on, I can get a bit addled, I'll admit. I have little tolerance for those wolves who panic or overreact. I am good at calming them down - usually in a firm manner.
Which brings me to the fact that I am considered motherly. I am a very good caretaker. I'm patient with children, the sick and the elderly. I have an excellent knowledge of herbs and I do enjoy making someone feel better. I like to be useful.
Do you have any habits?
If someone is injured and I fear for their safety, I will start whistling. It's an annoying habit, but it helps me concentrate. I will often start whistling when the situation is dire, but I try not to.
Also you try to talk fancy, don't you?
*glare* hush.
What would you say are your strengths?
Like I said, I am a good caretaker. I know how to help wolves be calm, I know how to keep pups out of trouble - I also have a good knowledge of herbs and medicinal practices. I am calm and have decent social skills. I am surprisingly strong for my size
And your weaknesses?
Well... I have very little patience for rude and insensible wolves. Also, if I am honest with you, I can be a bit selfish. I like to have everything I want and I see no qualms in being sneaky or slightly inconveniencing others if it means I reach my ambitions.
so what will you like poison people?
My word! There's a difference between telling a few white lies and being a murderess - I assure you I would not misuse my knowledge of medicine. It is very important to me.
Right. Soooo tell us about your LIFE STORY.
My childhood was uneventful. My father was a healer for the entire area - he would visit other pcks to cure their ailments and such. I was kept very busy, either watching my younger siblings or - starting at only four months old - learning anything and everything about doctoring.
Eventually I moved out on my own, and... Well I am used to privilege, you must understand. My parents were very respected for their work, and we had the nicest territory in the area. But as soon as I struck out on my own, everything changed. My talents were not recognized. I was mistreated, disrespected and in some cases objectified. I could not even find a place to rest or hunt that wasn't occupied by a pack.
This all changed when I met Patrick.
Who's Patrick?
*ahem* I'm getting to that. Patrick was a very wealthy wolf. I'm not sure what he did when he was younger, but he owned more land than even the largest packs I had encountered. He even hired wolves to patrol it for him - not that anyone dared intrude.
How do wolves pay each other?
Hunting rights. He had far more prey than he knew what to do with! Anyway, I snuck into his territory one frosty evening in hopes of getting a meal. By a shocking twist of luck, he caught me. We fell in love very quickly. Our relationship was gossiped about by all the wolves who had nothing better to do, but I didn't mind. I had everything I needed.
Wait, why was it scandalous?
*scowls* not you, too? If you must know, he was nine and a half, and I was only two. In fact, his health was on the decline. Everyone was shocked that I would pick him for a mate.
*whispers "ew"* Why did you?
I might not have been in love with him, but he was a sweet fellow, and as long as I gave him what he needed, I was treated with utmost respect by him and his patrollers. He had wolves hunt for me and even find fruit for me. I was able to do whatever I want and I made a great many friends. I spent a lot of time socializing when I wasn't caring for Patrick's needs.
I'm afraid to ask what those needs were.
Especially toward the end of his life, Patrick's health failed him. He became increasingly sick, and I was a great aid to easing his suffering. He died after we were together for six months, unfortunately. I was sad to see him go, but I had inherited a massive territory, and I planned to make a lover out of one of Patrick's favorite patrollers and spend the rest of my life practicing medicine.
How'd that work out?
... Not so well. It turns out, all of my so-called friends decided to take bits of the territory for themselves. They offered me a small plot of land, but I was very indignant and I refused.
Wow. That's a story all right. How do you think you'll like BT?
I find it a bit strange that they travel so much. They are powerful enough to take over their own land, and yet they refuse to keep a territory. It's very different from what we did where I am from.
Well, that's all the questions for today! Thanks so much for talking to us, Clarise.
A pleasure.
