As the wolves of the Blacktalon Guilt set out to find a meal suitable for the masses, they come across a most unusual location. The territory they've discovered is one of flowing grasses and rolling hills, and bored into the hillsides are a great number of small burrows and holes.

The air is thick with the scent of rabbits, and judging from the other clues, this place seems to be teeming with nothing but hares of a broadest assortment. While it's not the big game promised, it certainly seems the wolves have easy hunting before them.

A Fine Place For Easy Hunting

As Brave, Agro, the pups and the rest of the hunting crew searched for a decent place to gather up enough grub for the whole pack, Brave's eyes flew to a beautiful meadow of flowing grass and gently rolling hills, spotted with burrows and holes that held hares of all species and ages. Though anxious to be off and get her teeth into some game, the fae paitently waited for any sign that the hunters were to move on and hunt by themselves or as a whole. It had been awhile since she had tasted the rich blood of fresh prey.

Warren Peace - Adventures in Hunting 34rxb7r
Warren Peace - Adventures in Hunting E8q3de

Jeamesero walked somewhere in the back of the hunting group, his head held low. The Hudson Bay wolf had an odd expression on his face, his chestnut brown eyes dull. His light brown coat was a bit smudged by mud and sand, making it look darker brown that it actually was.
The male stopped behind Brave, the big strong female who had pinned down the other strong stranger (Logan), before. He stared at her, but didn’t mind keeping his head low. he eyes went from the female to the other members of the hunting party, ending on Agro.

After that the adult looked at his surroundings; a beautiful meadow with green grass and hills. The sky was bright blue and the sun shone bright. It was a wonderful day for all the wolves to feel happy. though, Jeamesero wasn’t happy.
There was a slight twitching near his right eye, and a slight snarl plastered on his face that was barely even visible, yet it was there. Jeamesero felt everything but happy; he felt concerned, left behind, alone. He felt irritated and frustrated, but he didn’t know why.
He waited for the others to move on again. He wanted to hunt pretty much, but didn’t feel like taking the leading role. He just wanted Agro to lead the hunting party. After all Jeamesero would never win from such a big and strong male as him.

Warren Peace - Adventures in Hunting Empty Re: Warren Peace - Adventures in Hunting

Post by Damian Fri Sep 20, 2013 1:12 pm

With his head held up and his little excuse for a tail up, the pup rode up front of the pack, acting as though he was their leader, positioning himself as the role that he would claim when he come of age and skill. He looked back at Agro and gave him a triumphant look, one that shone of mock and cockiness. Despite that Agro was not the leader of the pack, his age and aura made the others listen to him. He held an authority that he didn't ask for, but got anyway. Damian was going to change that. He was going to become the leader, to show them that they needed one. Agro was doing a great job, but letting any Sally, Nick and Henry into the pack was not something the pup would tolerate. No. Only the strong was going to be part of Blacktalon, which meant that most of the pack would be leaving when he held the throne, and that included Claudius.

Damian turned his head back and looked at the one that claimed to be Claudius' mother. He gave her a hard look and his mind spiralled into thoughts. Why was she here? Did she not believe that her son could look after himself? Despite how true it was, he didn't see why she would turn up after all this time for that reason. Maybe she had been thrown out of her pack for being useless? It wouldn't surprise the pup. The uselessness had to come from somewhere. Like mother like son. However, that wasn't the only thought that crossed his mind. She was Claudius' mother, but the white wolf held so much hate towards her. Why? Damian didn't remember his mother too much. A hazy memory here and a whisper of an echo there. However, he remembered the cold air that replaced her warmth. He remembered baring the world by himself. He wondered what it would have been like to have been loved and cared for by a mother rather than by the hands of the monsters; humans.

The only love that Damian ever received was by his sister. Their loyalty for each other made them strong. An unbeatable force not to be reckoned with. It was the only comfort that he would receive from another, he found it hard to ever getting comfort from others within the pack. Maybe when he was almost frozen to death, but not when he was a fit bill of health. He didn't need to be babied by some mothers, but it was something that made him curious. The love that the pups held, was that different? Was there something more special about a parent loving you? Without hesitation, he cast his eyes back at Agro before snapping his head forward. What was he thinking?! Agro was not his dad. His dad was back at the ring. However, the old coot was the one caring, training, feeding and teaching the pups. Maybe he was someone he might consider a father. Although, Damian would refuse to even admit that Agro held some role in his life. That was something that was banished to the back of his mind.

His thoughts were suddenly distracted by the scent of something that made his skin crawl in the lust for blood. He could smell them. The fear, the longing of love, protection and bravery. He could smell it. He could smell the strong scent of helpless pray hidden within the meadows. Drool threatened to form from his muzzle as his eyes darted to each burrow, waiting for his victim to make a fatal mistake. However, he knew that these hares were not stupid. They've been hunted for decades by other animals, and they weren't going to lay over and become his dinner. He had to earn his meal and he wouldn't have it any other way. That's where his sister would come into it. By himself, he knew that these hares were much too fast for him. The only way he'd catch one would be by luck or someone else catching one for him. Which was not something he wanted. He wanted to catch one by skill, and he defiantly didn't want someone else catching his meal for him anymore. He didn't want to be a dependent pup anymore. He wanted to be an independent adult. However, his stub left him with few options, and the only one that he was willing to try was with the help of his sister.

“Dakota!” He pup barked as he quickly hopped over to his sister's side. He hated asking for her help, but he knew he had to. “How about I scare the prey out and you catch them from another burrow?” He suggested as though he didn't need her help, but he knew that she knew that was the only reason he was asking to work in a team. She was not stupid. Damian needed her help, more than she needed his. He knew that she wanted to compete against him, showing off her skin, but the pup was determined not to starve or let one of the adults hunt for him.

The pup gave her a quick nod before sniffing out the burrows. One smelt especially good and Damian was riled up and ready to go. He placed himself by the burrow before sticking his head inside and barked. He barked loud and viscously, making him look terrifying to the hares below. “Get ready, Dakota!” He bellowed as he continued to snap and bite towards the terrified animals, hoping to drive them toward his sister. All he could do was bark and wait for his prey to scare and run.

However, things didn't go as planned. A hare didn't think much of Damian's plan and leapt out in front of him, nipping his nose, before springing off. The pup yelped in pain, shaking his head, trying to rid the pain. He couldn't believe that the hare had the nerve to strike at him. He stoof there in shock before his features turned of one in rage. In anger, Damian abandoned his post and gave chase. That hare was gonna pay for what he did. He leapt at the hare as it dashed around him as though it was mocking him. “Stay still!” He snapped as he tried as again to place the creature between his jaws, however, it was just too fast for him. He did look like a rather silly fool as he span in circles, trying to nab it. However, the pup was determined to eat it, or at least hurt the thing.

Warren Peace - Adventures in Hunting Empty Re: Warren Peace - Adventures in Hunting

So Here's then Plan...

Though the fae and another strange light brown wolf held their place and waited for further orders, the pup, Damian as he was known, held himself with the overwhelming diginty of a pack leader. He howeve, was merely a pup, not even a full year old yet. As power thirsty as he was the female knew that he had an undying sense of responsibility and loyalty to his sister, and if he had the mind set to be a little more in touch with his self control, that he would make a great fighter, and pherhaps even a great leader. The three legged pup, however, had many miles yet to travel and inevitably many battles yet to fight until his final destiny was to be revealed.

Stifling laughter, she watched the young boy as he tried to hunt a hare on his own and to her surprise, with little to no help from his littermate Dakota. Humor danced in her eyes as she watched the comical sight of the hare chasing circles around him as he longed to catch his prey. Brave knew that he should face the embarassment by himself, and that any help from her would make him angry at her and he would inviatably say something to redeem himself. Against her initial will, the femme easily caught and swiftly killed the hare. Tossing it to the pup, she began to speak to him.

"You simply cannot rely on only yourself and your dear sister to do everything. Outside help is just as, if not even more, helpful. Positive socialization with others, especially in your two's case, could help put you more at ease with the pack and it's members. Hunting is a great way to start building teamwork skills, and find new acuaintances in the pack." To keep from boring the poor boy, the eggshell she wolf gave the pup(s) time to react or respond to her lecture. Ignoring any remarks they were surely going to make, she made a plan of how they should catch these swift and intelligent hares.

"Hares always have two openings in their burrow; a main entrance or exit and an escape route. The key is to find a matching set of holes. We shall work in pairs, or groups of three. The swift will group with the clumsy, and vice versa. While the faster of the two chases the hares out of their homes, the lesser will stand by to catch and kill the immediate prey that emerges, and any stragglers will be chased and eliminated by the swift or the remaining wolf. Does it sound like a plan? or shall we reconsider?"
Hoping that the plan would be accepted or denied quickly, she above all wished to not appear too bossy. She herself hated bossy wolves, despite how much she was one.

Warren Peace - Adventures in Hunting 34rxb7r
Warren Peace - Adventures in Hunting E8q3de

‘’Dakota! How about I scare the prey out and you catch them from another burrow?’’, Damian asked his sister as he approached her. Jeamesero looked his way, his ears pulled back a little. That annoyed expression was still plastered on his face.
He didn’t feel the need to help these pups, or at least warn them that hunting on their own could be dangerous.
It didn’t even really matter to him whether they would get hurt or not; today he was in a terrible grumpy mood, and it wasn’t going to be any better, he knew.

The male pup went after a hare he had seen, but didn’t manage to catch it, as he had planned. Jeamesero didn’t show a single smile as he watched, not even a grin, even though the show amused him very much. ‘’Stay still!’’
The light brown coated Hudson Bay wolf thought for a slim second he should jump into this small hunt and help the kid out, but the thought quickly disappeared as the big, strong female started moving, and went after the hare as well. To Jeamesero’s surprise she even caught the hare, and she dropped it right before the pup’s paws.
She started a whole speech, telling the pup on what to do and what not. Jeamesero listened, but he didn’t bother to understand the words she said to the three legged youngster. After all it was not meant for him to listen.

‘’You simply cannot rely on only yourself and your dear sister to do everything. Outside help is just as, if not even more, helpful. Positive socialization with others, especially in your two's case, could help put you more at ease with the pack and its members. Hunting is a great way to start building teamwork skills, and find new acquaintances in the pack.
Hares always have two openings in their burrow; a main entrance or exit and an escape route. Does it sound like a plan? or shall we reconsider?’’

Jeamesero stepped towards them, keeping a close eye on the two talking wolves. He perked his ears and held his fluffy tail hanging behind his body like he was very much relaxed. However, he didn’t feel relaxed at all; he felt nervous, especially because he was around wolves he didn’t know, and hadn’t even met yet.

‘’Why don’t we wait for the leaders to lead the hunt? It’s much easier that way. and we don’t do stuff that we might regret later on…’’, the Hudson Bay wolf mumbled, looking at the pup and then at the female. ‘’That sounds like a better plan to me.’’

Warren Peace - Adventures in Hunting Empty Re: Warren Peace - Adventures in Hunting

Post by Dakota Wed Oct 09, 2013 10:21 pm

Agro had decided to nip Dakota's anger in the bud (well, more specifically the butt) when she had cheeked Claudius' mother and didn't want her coming hunting with them. She had let out an embarrassing yelp and whipped her head around to glare at Agro but didn't do much else about it. She respected Agro enough not to start a fight, and what's the point anyways? He wouldn't respond the way she wanted him too, he'd just put her in her place; something she despised, but was also appreciative for. Agro had put in that effort with the pups to gain their respect. Dakota couldn't speak for Damian, but when Agro put her in her place for the first time, that was the moment where she could see this 'old fart' was more than just someone who saved them. She was surprised more than anything. At the fact that he had the guts to put her in her place, but also at the fact that she actually listened.

Still, the nip in her backside didn't exactly put Dakota in high spirits to begin with, and she spent the time with a scowl on her face as she made her way to the hunting lands. The thought of tearing a juicy rabbit made her anger turn into excitement after some time of just walking. Her annoyance towards Agro was still there, but it was pushed to the back of her mind as her desire for food outweighed her previous thoughts.

Dakota's predatory instinct was starting to show through as she got a little wicked smile on her face and more of a sneaky bounce in her step. Her paws used the terrain to her advantage and allowed her agile movement around Damian as they travelled. It was partially to show off her skills to her brother, but also to tease him. Every now and again Dakota made her tail brush against Damian's face for a moment before rushing ahead so he wouldn't snap his teeth around it like the many times he's done so in the past. She knew it would annoy him, but she didn't care, she was teasing him and it felt great to her.

Though something caused her to stop and shiver in delight. The smell of her pray filtered through her nose and caused her wicked smile to widen even more. She glanced to her brother and could see a similar look crossing across his face. When was the last time they'd eaten something? Dakota couldn't remember the exact date, all she remembered was trying to devour her meal and then whining at the pain her teeth were causing her. The pain had lessened over time, but if she bit into her meal and another tooth came out she will seriously lose it on someone. She wanted to eat without her own blood tainting the taste she loves. Her own blood in her food was no fun, especially when it wasn't even a proper wound. It was just her teeth falling out. Something that the rest of the pack seemed to be somewhat amused by. They didn't say it, but Dakota could tell (she couldn't tell, but she assumed that because she would be mean, that they would be too).

How about I scare the prey out and you catch them from another burrow?”

She could hear Damian's hobbling up beside her as he asked his question, faking nonchalance, like he didn't need his help. Of course, Dakota didn't believe it for a moment. Her eyes narrowed as a smirk appeared across her face and her head tilted towards him. She was beckoning him in with a silent conversation. Twin telepathy. Her eyes were smug and she was transferring to Damian that she knew exactly why he'd asked her. Dakota did nothing to keep the grin off her replace as she replied, “Well, I guess we'll leave the bet to another time. Right now, I'm hungry”

Though she hadn't stated an answer to her brother's question in words, her quick step answered her agreement to him quickly. She bounded ahead of him in preparation to catch their meal, though stopped when she saw what happened next. As soon as she saw the rabbit nipping Damian on the nose and running away laughter broke loose from her mouth (maybe even a couple of snorts here and there). She couldn't surprise her giggles as she looked at Damian, “I think he likes you.” She teased sarcastically with heavy amusement in her voice. “Maybe you should watch and learn, Dami?”

Dakota had planned to catch the meal herself, and though she was fast and agile, it was smaller than her and knew places that she didn't Turns out she was having a hard time with it all and her stomach grumbled in frustration along with a string of swear words being grumbled from her mouth. To top her frustrations off Brave decided that she wanted to play teacher and give them a hunting lesson when they didn't ask for one.

"You simply cannot rely on only yourself and your dear sister to do everything. Outside help is just as, if not even more, helpful. Positive socialization with others, especially in your two's case, could help put you more at ease with the pack and it's members. Hunting is a great way to start building teamwork skills, and find new acuaintances in the pack."

“ 'in your two's case' What's that supposed to mean?” Dakota stopped to glare at Brave, “I don't see anyone jumping at the chance to pair up with us. They never have and they never will. We team together because we work well and treat each other like equals unlike some of the other members.”

Though despite Dakota's annoyance, Brave went on. To Dakota's surprise, Brave began to formulate a plan that actually included them. She thought that she was just going to continue to talk about how they needed to trust the other wolves and blah blah blah. But she didn't. She spoke to them normally. With confidence. That intrigued Dakota. Her eyebrows furrowed slightly as she stared at her and then raised an eyebrow in response to her plane. Not bad. Not that Dakota would tell her that, “Well I'm the fastest, so I chase and then Damian snatches, yeah? That sound like the plan?”

Though Dakota wanted to race off and start the plan, she decided to hold back and wait for the other two's agreement. No point pushing the hare out when Damian wasn't in position. To the other wolves it may surprise them at the face that Dakota actually listened to Brave, but Dakota could see a good plan and she wanted to eat. If anyone questioned her on it, those would be her excuses. Nothing more, and nothing less.....well, she'll most likely find something insulting to add, but you get the idea.

‘’Why don’t we wait for the leaders to lead the hunt? It’s much easier that way. and we don’t do stuff that we might regret later on…’’

Dakota turned to this other wolf with a look of irritation, “How about no.” She deadpanned towards him, “You can go the easy route and get others to do your work for you, but I want to earn my meal, thanks” She scoffed at him and rolled her eyes at his words. She was going hunting, whether Agro was arriving soon or not. As soon as Damian was ready, she would be off.

Warren Peace - Adventures in Hunting Empty Re: Warren Peace - Adventures in Hunting

Post by Damian Tue Oct 15, 2013 8:03 pm

“Shut up, Dakota.” He snapped as he come to a halt. Heavy pants echoed from the pup as his chest heaved. That stupid hare could run faster than the small pup could even process. He closed his airs as he sucked in any much needed breath. He wheezed a little before coughing, clearing his air ways. He was determined to catch the little vermin, but he had no idea how. The frogs back at the swamp were much easier than this quick paced beastie.

Though, what happened next really drove Damian's anger sky high. Brave had caught the hare in one swift kill. How dare she?! That was his kill! She had no right to catch his food for him. He was crippled, not dead. How could he learn to hunt if they hunted for him? It was stupid and he hated it. He wasn't useless like Claudius. He could hunt his own food, but it just took him a little longer to actually do it. “I don't need your help. That was my food, catch your own.” He grumbled at the female with a piercing frown, his blue and brown eyes glaring into hers. He looked at the dead hare between his paws and pushed it away. “I can catch my own dinner.” He snorted with a quick growl.

Damian continued to frown as Brave gave him a life lesson. He had heard it all before. Be friendly with the pack, cuddle up to them, sleep with them, share your inner demons and emotions with them. Yeah... no thanks. Damian wasn't here to make friends and have a wonderful family life. He was at Blacktalon to become strong, to become a leader. Even when he tried to connect to the pack, it normally fell flat. He was just no good at socialising with those who did not want to try. There was a wall between him and the pack, and he had come to like this wall between them. He didn't need their love or comfort, just their protection until he was old enough to care for himself. “We work by our selves and we like it that way.” He remarked back as he moved over to his sister.

The brother agreed with his sister's words. They worked alone and it was better that way. The other members were weary of the pups and preferred to let them do their own thing or try and fail. The pups weren't very welcoming. They weren't surprised that no one wanted to work with them, not that they cared, or so they would think. Secretively both pups loved the attention that the pack gave them, they craved it. Though, the attention they usually got was a bad one, but it was attention all the same. Dakota was more of an attention hog than himself and got rather jealous with her fiery temper. She liked attention as a whole, where Damian only cared about one wolf watching him, and that was his mentor, Agro. He wanted to prove himself to the whole pack, but Agro was the one he really wanted to impress.

He listened again to Brave's words and nodded. “Then my sister and I will work together.” He said simply as he moved to his sister's side. He gave her a nod and readied himself. He wasn't going to wait for Agro to watch them hunt or do it for them. He and his sister was going to get their own meal and The newbie and Brave could get their own. He snatched up the dead hare in his jaws and made it tumble towards the newbie. “Eat this. No point it going to waste” He admitted with a steal look. It wouldn't have gone to waste if Brave let them hunt their own food.

“Lets get some food, Sis.” He said as he got into position. He waited for her signal and would be ready to make the kill.

Warren Peace - Adventures in Hunting Empty Re: Warren Peace - Adventures in Hunting

Post by Dakota Wed Oct 23, 2013 10:59 am

Dakota snickered at Damian's response to her words. It always brightened her mood to know she annoyed her brother at one time during the day. That was their relationship though, they made fun of each other; they fought; they teased; but in the end they still loved each other dearly. It was said through their words and actions. The untrained ear probably wouldn't pick it up, but to Dakota and Damian it was clear as day. They didn't need to tell each other that they loved each other. What was the point when their actions spoke louder than words? Plus if one of them ever did say it, then the other would most likely make fun of them for it. They'd accept it of course, but not without teasing on their part. That's just how they were and how they would always be. Gosh knows what they'd be like if a fancy fella or pretty little lady walked into their lives when they were older. They had enough trouble expressing their feelings of gratitude towards Agro, someone that saved them. Someone they looked up to.

Dakota shook her head and snorted at the idea. Yeah, right. Like anyone could handle this, is what Dakota thought with a smirk. She was fine with being by herself (minus Damian at her side) and didn't need anyone else to make herself complete, or whatever mushy stuff Chance felt towards Marina. Her eyes rolled at the thought and she made a hacking noise to herself, despite the fact that nobody knew what she was thinking about. The romance could be left to those suckers while she and her brother hunted for some well deserved grub.

She watched with disdain as Damian rolled food towards the lazy member. That's what he was going to be called from now on. In her mind he didn't deserve anything more. He was too scared to go hunting for his own food and wanted to rely on other wolves. He wasn't a pup. He should hunt for his own food, just as they were doing. The amount of times Damian and Dakota weren't allowed to go hunting because they were 'too young' or 'too small' really irritated Dakota. She wanted nothing more to sprint as fast as she could and sink her teeth into something, giving the kill and feeling the animal in her jaws ignite her taste buds.

Growing up in the environment she did, Dakota was taught to be violent. It was engrained into her until nothing much remained. She hated other wolves and canines because that's what she was what they were teaching her, but there was one moment where that resolve snapped. She still didn't like anyone, bar herself and Damian (truth be told Dakota never really thought about herself), so when those humans decided to use her brother as a bating dog, Dakota's hatred grew at a substantial rate. It grew rapidly until the moment Damian was injured. That was her first moment of rebellion. She broke past her teachings of anger towards canines and moved onto bigger and better things. Not the best choice considering these things brought them into the ring and they could easily take them out, but Dakota wouldn't give them the chance. She was leaving without their consent. And she was leaving with her brother. They would survive alone or die trying, because to her, it was better than bending to their will, no matter how nice they seemed.

Appearances mean nothing. Personalities can just hide something away that is far more frightening. That was Dakota learnt as a pup. That was part of the reason she was so harsh and angry all the time, she was taught it from a young age, but she didn't really wanted to change at this point anyway. She was protected by her attitude and snarky comments. It kept the weak at bay and the interesting slightly closer, though not too close. Or so she liked to think at least.

Dakota wagged her tail in excitement as Damian stood beside her and waited for her signal to go. Her thoughts had now shifted onto catching them some grub and her mouth salivated at the mere thought of being able to catch her own meal. Tension began to seep through Dakota as she grinned at Damian and lowered herself in preparation to run. She gave him a simple nod before she shot off.

Her swift movements ran forward with no direction for a moment, just enjoying the feeling of stretching the tension in her body until she spotted movement from the corner of her eye. They gleamed brightly as she picked up her speed and began chasing it. Despite never telling Brave this, Dakota did listen to what she said and followed her advice loosely to get the hare where she wanted it to go. With a grin it followed her thoughts as if it was an unconscious mind reader and into her trap and hopefully Damian's jaws. “Get ready brother, food is coming to you” she grinned in anticipation, waiting for her plan to hopefully work.

This was the most thought she had put into catching their food. Usually the pups felt the force and tried their best to catch something, but it was never a juicy hare like this one. Dakota's stomach grumbled with hunger, but also anticipation. She wanted to sink her teeth in already.

‘’You can go the easy route and get others to do your work for you, but I want to earn my meal, thanks.’’, Dakota said and the light brown coated Hudson Bay wolf nodded. He had been in a pack earlier, but with stricter rules. This pack didn’t seem to have that many rules at all; members were much more free in what they wanted to do and what not. Did they go hunting, then they probably could start hunting without the leader.
‘’We work by ourselves and we like it that way. Then my sister and I will work together. Let’s get some food, Sis.’’
‘’Get ready brother, food is coming to you.’’

Jeamesero watched as the two pups went for their hunt together, running after hares and chasing them towards each other. The hunt looked a bit ‘scattered’, as one tried to chase off the hare while the other was just a bit too early or too late with their own input in the hunt.
Still, Jeamesero was amazed by the teamwork of the two siblings, they did very well for pups of those age. And he guessed this was their first real hunt as well. he stood there with his tail hanging relaxed between his legs, his ears perked and rotating at any sound coming from the two young wolves. He watched them. He observed them. Anything they did wrong he could do better, he knew, anything they did right he could use as a tactic for his own hunt. The expressionless wolf had always been like this; observing was a way of survival. Without observing you wouldn’t even be able to live a single day more.

The expressionless make came back to his senses and glared at Brave before his chestnut brown eyes holding nothing, changed into bright puppy-like eyes once again. He wagged and his tongue rolled out of his mouth; it was ready to do his own thing.
‘’Can do this, can hunt for me, too, just like others can.’’, the wolf thought as he started to walk, looking around him for any prey he could catch. Stopping for a second to sniff the ground with his liquid colored nose, he smelled the scent of a hare close by. Scrolling his chestnut brown eyes up, he saw the small hole of a rabbit or hare, realizing it was the creature’s home; time to get this hunt on!

“Get ready brother, food is coming to you”

Damian saw the hare, and the hare saw Damian. However, it was all too late for the little beast. The pup leapt forwards and sank his teeth right into the creature's back. A piercing squeal echoed through the air as the hare wailed in pain.. The pup wasted no time putting the animal out of it's misery. He shook his head hard, causing the hare's body to break as he crushed it under it's jaws. Within a few painful seconds, the hare was dead. It's limp body lay dangling in the pup's bloody jaws. With a satisfied grin, the pup plodded over to his sister and dropped the hare by her paws. “Easy.” He said with pride attached.

He sank onto his hind and placed a large paw on top of the beast's back before ripping the creature into half. A lesson that the pups both learnt was that sharing was something that came hard to them. They fought over the smallest piece of meat. So splitting the food in half and each having their own part helped them not to fight over their dinner. Though, it didn't always work.

The pup grabbed his lunch and scooted away from his sister as he dug into the hare's hind. He looked up at Brave and glared at the female. Told you I could do it. He snorted at her before muching into his meal. Though, Damian was a growing pup. This measly meal was nothing to live on. He'd need more food than this stupid hare.

“Right. The rest of the pack needs food.” He got up and shook the blood from his muzzle, aiming for the blood to dot against Brave's white coat. He gave her a tiny smirk of triumph before he padded over to his sister. “Hurry up, Dakota. We got a hunt a lot more than this. We'll probably need like five for Claudius' big butt.” He grumbled with a tiny lace of humour, but also anger in his voice. He still hated the wolf, but he didn't think Agro would be happy if they left the white wolf hungry. Though, the pup did think that the elder should hunt for his own food. He was able to do it, but he was just fat and lazy.

The pup got back into position, but when he got back, the sight shocked him. Five little baby hares all sat at the entrance of their borrow; they all looked scared and lonely. The pup looked back at the hare he had killed beforehand and then back at the babies. The hares that they killed must have been their parents. Pity drown Damian's thoughts as he looked at them. They had no clue at what happened. They just heard their parents screams and then silence. They were too young to yesterday the concept of life and death. They just knew their instincts and their parent's lesson. Well, they'd get no more of those lessons. They were to starve without their mother's milk to warm their grumbling tummy's. He growled at the thought, but he was a life too and everyone had to eat. The pup quickly darted into the front end of the borrow, snapping his jaws around the little young's bodies before killing them all swiftly. No guilt, no remove, nothing, swept through Damian as he collected his prize. Life was hard. He'd prefer it if it hadn't been the babes, who were so small he could carry them all. However, life was tough and the weak did not survive. He had no time for the mourning of others. The babies would have died anyway and he was hungry. End of story.

He carried the food over to the first hare that they had caught and dumped them over the other. It still wasn't enough food to feed a pack, but it was enough to make sure that they would survive. He licked his chops greedily as he stared down at the food. He could quickly nab one and make a quick dash as he ate, but he was sure that someone would stop him escaping with the goods. He growled at the thought. He was too slow to outrun his pack mates. Though, he wa-

Something rotten hit Damian in the face; well the scent anyhow. He sniffed the air and instinctively, he could smell that there was a storm approaching. A storm normally didn't phase the pup. He just knew that hunting was soon to be over. This storm looked like a powerful one and that was nothing something the pup would like to get stuck in. Though, they still didn't have enough food to last them if the storm decided to stay for a visit. He snapped his head to Brave and frowned. “What do we do?” He hated asking for direction, but this was something beyond his ability to control, and Agro was not here, so Brave in Damian's eyes, was next in charge.

He eyed the storm as it grew closer. Something was off about it. It didn't feel natural to him. It felt more powerful than Damain could even imagine. He wondered if the older wolves had felt a storm this strong before. Was this going to be dangerous? Were there going to be causalities? Maybe it would be Claudius? The pup could only hope. Instinctively, Damian made his way over to his sister. Storm, or no storm, he made sure that they were together. If this storm did hit them, they had to look out for each other.

Warren Peace - Adventures in Hunting 34rxb7r
Warren Peace - Adventures in Hunting E8q3de

Jeamesero sneaked to the hare’s hole, his nose close to the ground and a huge smile on his face. He opened his mouth to reveal his sharp teeth, which made it look like he was grinning evilly. Maybe he was, but no one could look in his head to find out what he was thinking.
It was time to get to his paws and go after the hare he was looking for. He reached the hole with his head and tried to look inside, but saw nothing but darkness. He kept himself quiet and hoped that the hare didn’t smell him.
The creature didn’t seem to, as its head popped out of the hole after a few minutes of waiting, it’s small pinkish nose moving around, probably smelling the air. However, when the little creature saw the big bad wolf, it immediately turned around and darted back into the hole.

Jeamesero acted way too late, and jumped forward, burying his nose into the hole. Sand fell down on his muzzle and he pulled back his head, sneezing and groaning. But, this happy expression was still plastered on his face and wagging his tail, the Hudson Bay wolf started to pouncing the hole, bringing the sand on the ceiling down.
The light brown coated wolf looked up when he smelled the scent of the hare somewhere else and he realized the hare had left its home by using a secret exit on the other side of the hill. The male quickly ran after the hare, trying to keep up with it. He snapped playfully at the animal and laughed like a little puppy.
But once he buried his teeth into the hare’s hind legs, his expression changed. Letting go of the hare his pupils became smaller. His chestnut brown eyes focused themselves on the creature that was limping slightly, yet pretty fast. Drool started to drip down along his jaws, forming long strings.

‘’Here little little hare…~’’, the male said with a singing-like voice as he started walking after the darting hare. He at first walked slowly, more normal, until the walking began to annoy him; he was wasting his own time.
Speeding up he started to sprint after the creature, grabbing it by its hind legs with one single snap. He pulled the creature up before throwing it on the ground with a big thump. The creature was badly wounded but still alive, and still struggling to get free from the predator’s firm grip.
But Jeamesero’s hold was too strong and he laid down while resting his paws on the back of the hare. Grinning at the creature he started to nip at it, snap and bite parts of his body. He laughed as the hare’s struggling slowly became less and less. He was torturing his poor little prey until it slowly died out of pain and blood loss.
Jeamesero could only grin and laugh more, and started to rip the flesh off the body. Nothing tasted as good as the meat of tortured prey, in his opinion.

He suddenly smelled something, soon after he had finished eating his small meal. The sound of something rumbling far away made him perk his ears. Looking behind him, his head up, Jeamesero saw big dark clouds closing in on the hunting party. There was a storm coming? It didn’t seem like a very friendly one, as well. The group of wolves could get in trouble with this upcoming weather.
The Hudson Bay wolf got to his feet and licked the blood off his lips, not realizing he had been a greedy eater; there was still a huge blood stain below his muzzle and on his throat down to his chest.
His expression changed one again. With an indifferent look in his chestnut brown eyes he glanced at all his companions, but he didn’t pick any of them to accompany during this storm. Instead he kept standing there like he didn’t care about the dangers at all, and looked up at the dark sky with narrowed eyes.
